Proud of our Dutch roots

In 1999, Bytesnet started with a network platform for IP traffic exchange: the Internet Exchange. Customers quickly demanded high-quality and secure colocation services in the region. In 2007, entrepreneurs Bix Jacobse and Peter de Jong started offering conditioned spaces for IT and network equipment alongside providing connectivity. Since then, our service offerings expanded rapidly to include expert services, data innovation, high-performance computing, cloud computing, and network services. We serve data-intensive companies and organizations where disruptions can cause significant financial and/or societal damage. We are proud of our services to various public-private organizations, such as hospitals and government agencies.

Fundament of a sustainable digital society

Our ambition is to be more than just a data center. We want to be the foundation of the digital society. But in a sustainable way because that is the only way forward for our society. To achieve this, we have implemented various measures, which you can read more about under sustainability. We also participate in regional partnerships to explore opportunities for sustainability in the future. What matters to the region is important to us as well. For example, in Groningen, we work to reduce the use of natural gas.

Collaborating for innovation

We also contribute to the development of the region and the Netherlands as a whole in terms of knowledge and innovation. With our DataLab, we provide a meeting place for public-private collaborations in the field of IT. Students and companies come together here to work on innovative projects related to big data, AI, and sustainable IT. They can make use of the high-performance computing capabilities available in the data center. The Netherlands is strong in information technology. Through initiatives like these, we aim to maintain and expand this position for the Netherlands.

As our customer, there is always space for you to work in one of our data centers. You have 24×7 access and control over your equipment. Additionally, there is always an expert nearby whom you can ask for advice.
